Abstract

Abstrak Pengindeksan subjek merupakan salah satu kegiatan inti dalam pengolahan koleksi perpustakaan. IbM ini bertujuan untuk menyegarkan kembali serta meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kemampuan pustakawan di lingkungan Unilak dalam proses pengindeksan subjek. Kegiatan ini dilakukan pada tanggal 02 April 2015 melalui beberapa tahap kegiatan. Tahap pertama tahap penyegaran konsep dasar pengindeksan subjek. Tahap kedua adalah penyegaran mengenai jenis konsep. Tahap ketiga adalah penyegaran mengenai jenis subjek. Tahap keempat adalah penyegaran mengenai tajuk subjek. Tahap kelima adalah tahap praktik penentuan subjek. Tahap terakhir adalah tahap evaluasi dan motivasi. Hasil analisa terhadap pretest dan posttest menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan kemampuan peserta dalam hal pengindeksan subjek koleksi perpustakaan. Abstract Subject indexing is one of the core activities in the processing of library collections. IbM aims to refresh and improve their knowledge and ability librarians within Unilak in the process of indexing the subject. This activity is carried out in several stages of activity. The first stage of the indexing phase refresher basic concepts of the subject. The second stage is a refresher on the types of concepts. The third stage is a refresher on the type of subject. The fourth stage is a refresher on the subject code. The fifth stage is the stage of determining the subject practices. The last stage is the stage of evaluation and motivation. Analysis of the pretest and posttest showed that there is an increase in the ability of the participants in terms of subject indexing of library collections.
