Abstract
The main idea behind this paper is to incorporate security into any IC or a smart card or a crypto processor at hardware level against a specific side channel attack namely Differential Power Analysis (DPA). A side channel attack is the one that could be possibly done by a hacker by knowing secondary information regarding an IC like power dissipation, timing, electromagnetic radiation, etc. to gain the confidential information of the device. This paper presents a mechanism by which the side channel attack namely Differential Power Analysis (DPA) could be thwarted.
