The overcuuuent is for very short period of time cause by switching events, which does not cause any damage to the system. But due to unknowing of the fault or switching event the system get disturbed, due to the tripping of overcurrent relays which may be the critical matter. In this paper, aconditionof overcurrent protection using concept of symmetrical componentsfor the power equipments such as transformer energizing, induction motor switching and etc is presented. In this first we review the concept of symmetrical components and secondly analyze how the concept of symmetrical component can be use to improve the scheme. The proposed algorithm and criterion function is shown for fault condition and switching events by using MATLAB software.},
