Abstract
Purpose. Comparative study of the dynamics of markers after laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LCE) depending on the clinical and morphological form of acute calculous cholecystitis (ACCh). Materials and methods. In 37 patients with catarrhal (12), phlegmonous (14), and gangrenous (11) forms, there was conducted a comparative analysis of the levels of proteins of the acute phase C-reactive protein (CRP) and ferritin, pro-inflammatory cytokines interleukin-1, and 2 (IL-1, IL-2), and anti-inflammatory interleukin-4 (IL-4) in serum. Results and discussion. In all patients before the operation, in all forms of ACCh, the level of both proteins, as well as both pro-inflammatory and anti-inflammatory cytokines, was significantly increased, if compared with healthy people. The degree of change of these indicators depended on the form of inflammation of the gallbladder. Conclusion. The use of C-reactive protein, ferritin, and IL-1 as an informative marker for early diagnostics of the morphological form of cholecystitis is appropriate.
