Abstract

Resumo: O objetivo deste trabalho é mostrar algumas dificuldades encontradas pelos alunos na aprendizagem de língua inglesa, partindo da ideia de que os alunos possuem algumas crenças quanto ao processo de ensino/aprendizagem. Os alunos acreditam no material didático utilizado pelo professor na sala de aula e o livro didático é o principal, porém ele é somente uma das fontes através da qual o professor se norteia para dar sua aula, existem outros recursos. O professor pode utilizar para expor os conteúdos outras técnicas que podem, também, auxiliá-lo nas aulas de língua inglesa. Dentre essas técnicas podemos destacar: filmes, músicas, diálogos, representação da realidade, entre outros. Com essa mistura os alunos se sentirão mais motivados e a aprendizagem poderá ter melhor resultado. Palavras-chave: Ensino de línguas. Crenças. Livro didático de Língua Inglesa. Abstract: The aim of this paper is to show some difficulties faced by students in learning English, starting with the beliefs they have about teaching and learning. Students believe in the teaching materials used by the teacher in the classroom and the textbook is the main one, but it is only one of the sources through which the teacher guides his/her classes. There are other resources. The teacher can use other techniques to expose the contents of the English language. Among these techniques: movies, songs, dialogues, roleplays, among others. With this mixture the students feel more motivated and learning may have better results.
