Abstract

Resumo: O objetivo deste trabalho é demonstrar o processo intertextual de manipulação, por José Alberto Kaplan, do texto musical da introdução lenta do terceiro movimento da II Sonata para Piano, do compositor alemão Paul Hindemith, para construir o segundo movimento de sua Sonata para Trompete e Piano. Identificam-se os elementos de partida e suas influências na elaboração do novo texto musical, assim como se esclarece a elaboração motívico-temática, estudando os aspectos rítmico-melódicos do segundo movimento da obra. Comprova-se que Kaplan, não obstante ter feito uso de processos intertextuais, conseguiu imprimir características estilísticas próprias no desenvolvimento melódico da sua obra. Abstract: The objective of this work is to demonstrate the intertextual process of manipulation by J. A. Kaplan of the slow introduction of the third movement of Sonata II for Piano by german composer Paul Hindemith, in order to construct the second movement of his Sonata for Trumpet and Piano. The departure elements and its influences on the elaboration of the new musical text are identified, and the motivic-thematic elaboration is clarified, studying the rhythmical and melodic aspects of the second movement of the piece. It is confirmed that, even though using an intertextual process, Kaplan has managed to impress his own stylistic characteristics in the melodic development of the piece.
