Abstract
Lymphocyte marker studies are routinely performed in a large number of laboratories. Reading the literature and answering daily requests from clinicians for such studies lead me to wonder whether the methodological problems, interpretation, and indications of these investigations are fully understood by everybody and whether the need for these costly technics is overestimated or not.
