Abstract
Law enforcement namely Road Transport Department (RTD) officers, face challenges in carrying out their duties on the road. The purpose of this study is to highlight on the challenges and issues faced by the officers in Malaysian road and the appropriate use of technology in assisting RTD officers in enforcement duties focusing on the usefulness of Body-worn cameras. The officers involved in the study consisted of the head of the RTD patrol team in the southern region of Malaysia. The results show that this product can assist officers in facilitating their duties. Overall, many respondents point out that this product can facilitate their work easily, provide safer conditions and provide data evidence. It helps in preparing jobs reports and made the officers not burdened in the task. Most respondents were positive about the use of Body-worn cameras especially in alleviating the challenges faced by them.
